Using the gifts, talents, and time God has entrusted to us to build up the church and advance His Kingdom — recognizing that every member is called to minister, not just be ministered to.
God didn't design you by accident, and He didn't call you to sit on the sidelines. Every believer has been uniquely shaped to serve. The question isn't whether you have a place in God's work. It's where.
Discovering Your Ministry Shape is a hands-on journey to help you understand how God has wired you and where you'll thrive in serving Him and others. Through guided assessments, Scripture, and honest conversation, you'll explore five areas that together reveal your unique design:
Passion. What stirs your heart? The needs you can't stop thinking about and the causes that move you to action are often clues to where God wants you to invest your life.
Spiritual Gifts. The Holy Spirit has given you gifts to build up the body of Christ. You'll identify yours and learn how they're meant to work alongside the gifts of others.
Personal Style. Are you energized by people or by tasks? Do you prefer structure or spontaneity? How you're wired shapes the environments where you serve best.
Talents. The skills and abilities you've developed at work, at home, and through life experience aren't separate from ministry. God can use all of them.
Spiritual Maturity. Where are you in your walk with Christ? Knowing your next step of growth helps you serve from a healthy place and take on the right responsibilities at the right time.
You'll walk away with a clearer picture of who God made you to be, practical next steps for serving, and the freedom that comes from doing what you were created to do.

What if helping a neighbor was as simple as a text? 📱
Gateway Church Monroe is launching the Ready Team, a group of people willing to be asked when someone needs a hand. A ride to an appointment. An errand run. A small task around the house.
Here's how it works: You sign up. When a need comes in, Pastor Jon reaches out. You say yes or "not this time." No pressure, no guilt. Just a willing heart.
"Here am I. Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Meal Ministry: Join the Core Team!
When someone in our church family is going through a hard season, like a new baby, surgery, illness, or loss, a warm meal at the door says "you're not alone." We're launching a Meal Ministry to make sure that happens every time the need arises.
We're in the early planning stages and looking for a core group of people to help shape it. Karen Bollhoefer has graciously volunteered to lead the team.
Interested, or have questions? Catch Karen after church or email her at mom462216@hotmail.com.
"Carry each other's burdens." Galatians 6:2

Nate McCoy is exploring leading our Youth Ministry for middle and high schoolers. If you want to help, we need adults who will show up for our students. That could mean driving on a Wednesday night, hosting a small group, bringing snacks, helping plan an activity, or just being a steady face our kids can count on. You don't need to be young or cool. You just need to care.
Text or call Nate at (641) 417-8185, or email mccoy0323@gmail.com.

Volunteers Needed for Gateway Kids Co!
Help us love on our kids and point them to Jesus.
Our children's program is set up and ready to go. We just need some extra loving hands to help it run smoothly on Sunday mornings.
What we're looking for:
Sign up to serve today! Contact Stacie McCoy at mccoy0323@gmail.com or 641-417-8870.

Chair Reset Team
Help us get the sanctuary ready for worship each week. After Thursday night small group, the chairs need to be set back up for Sunday. We need someone willing to take on this responsibility on a regular basis.
When: Anytime after Thursday night small group and before 8 AM Sunday
Where: Gateway Church Monroe sanctuary
Time commitment: About [XX] minutes per week
Who: Anyone willing to serve. Great for individuals, couples, or families.
Every chair set up is a seat prepared for someone God is bringing through our doors. Register below and we'll follow up with the details.

Every week, people find Gateway online before they ever walk through our doors. Our website, our social media, and our Sunday messages are often someone's first look at who we are and what God is doing here. That's ministry, and we'd love your help with it.
We're building a Communications & Media Team. Here's where you could plug in:
Website Updates & Maintenance. Keep gatewaychurchmonroe.com current with events, ministry info, and news. If you can edit a web page (or are willing to learn), this is for you.
Social Media Posts. Share what's happening at Gateway through photos, event reminders, encouragement, and Scripture. Great for anyone who's already on their phone anyway!
Sunday Morning Message Posting. Upload each week's message, handouts, and slides to gatewaychurchmonroe.com/messages so folks who missed Sunday (or want to revisit it) can stay connected.
Photography & Graphics. Capture moments on Sunday mornings and at events, or help design simple graphics for services and announcements.
You don't need to be a tech expert. You just need a willing heart, a little time each week or month, and a desire to help people connect with Jesus and our church family. We'll show you how everything works.
